NRC founder W. Milton Farrow

Farrow, called the finest long distance rifle shot in America during the last part of the 19th Century, founded Newport Rifle Club in 1876.

He participated in most of the major marksmanship competitions in the United State and Europe in the late 1800s, winning a great many. He was also an avid hunter and an accomplished gun designer.

Farrow wrote How I Became a Crack Shot with Hints to Beginners. It is really two books. The first recounts his life with firearms. The second is marksmanship advice. The book is available from Amazon.com and other Internet sites.
